My fingers are cold

Blood hides with heart this morning

Haikus stay dormant

Red pen on yellow

How many mornings fly by

We sit and wait and

Neighbour´s chickens clucking

behind the rough, weathered fence.

No steps yet on grass.

Opportunity

purring on the study stool.

Green sways behind glass.

Nature waits in still

Two crows and a shy cooing

Cold, cold morning sky

Yesterday's faint lure

lingers like a smoking page.

Morning sings a song.

It is very quiet

Today is diminishing

Visiting cat yawns
