Why so difficult

to accept what is, only,

and only what is.

I saw a snake scared

That was Wednesday afternoon

Still thinking how scared

What do I need most?

Breath, trees, people to love.

Freedom, that is all.

My fingers are cold

Blood hides with heart this morning

Haikus stay dormant

Red pen on yellow

How many mornings fly by

We sit and wait and

Neighbour´s chickens clucking

behind the rough, weathered fence.

No steps yet on grass.

Opportunity

purring on the study stool.

Green sways behind glass.
